The Pappelina NILS combines timeless Scandinavian design with an exceptionally beautiful, natural texture. The subtle cross-hatch structure is created directly through the weaving technique, giving the rug a calm, graphic depth – entirely without a printed pattern.

Particularly characteristic is the combination of high-quality, phthalate-free PVC and a linen warp. This gives NILS a softer, more textile-like expression and a subtle natural sheen. The rug is a stylish companion for the hallway, kitchen, bedroom, or living area and blends harmoniously into a wide variety of interior styles.

Like all Pappelina rugs, NILS is crafted in their own weaving mill in Leksand, Sweden, and impresses with its durability and easy maintenance.

Benefits of Pappelina NILS:

More about Pappelina

It all began by chance in 1999 when Lina Rickardsson, the founder and creative director of Pappelina, was looking for a weaving mill for her linen rugs. A small weaving mill in Dalarna, the heart of Sweden, was able to help her. However, they did not weave with linen, but with plastic strips. This was a new material for Lina, which piqued her curiosity and with which she soon began to experiment.

Initially, there were only classic, striped patterns; however, the jacquard looms also allowed for delicate and exciting new designs to be woven.

Today, Pappelina produces around 100,000 runners annually, employs 40 people in Dalarna, and sells its products in over 30 countries. Naturally, Pappelina has remained true to the region and the family manufactory, because with on-site production, all work processes can be easily monitored, thus guaranteeing quality at all levels. Pappelina is very proud of this!

Pappelina rugs are not only convincing because they are 100% made in Europe, from design to material, product, and distribution. They are also incredibly practical, waterproof, UV-resistant, easy to clean, and perfect for allergy sufferers. Moreover, they impress with their numerous colors and patterns and can thus be perfectly integrated into any interior. Discover the variety of Pappelina rugs, patterns, and colors!
